i have them and they are irritating and hard to get out and when i do cough them out they come at the most inoppurtune times like during class. they are always stuck in my tonsils and really unbearable. i think they are made worse by my sensory issues. i mean for a neurotypical to have them can be irritating to have the feeling of the in your tonsils that you cant get out they can be irritating. but for one with sensory issues the irritating feeling of something caught in your throught can be ten times more irritating.

does anyone here have tonsil stone and how do you deal with them?

Those hardened white chunks your tonsils produce from time to time?

I get them once in a while. Frankly, since I can feel them, I try flexing my throat tissues (internal thing I do) to try and force them out and spit them down the drain in the bathroom. Tricky to do...often triggers a gag reflex.

If they are big enough that I can see them, I might take a toothpick and VERY GENTLY prod the tonsil to see if it will push the chunk out or get me some leverage to pry it out. Gargling might help as well as the vibration might work it loose.

Since those chunks seem to be hardened bits of phlegm, I find avoiding stuff that makes me phlegmatic helps to prevent them.

This. I believe this is a dietary thing. I still get them but far less often. Try rebalancing your diet.

Until just now, I never knew there was even a name for those things.

When they grow large enough for me to notice them, I just dislodge them with a finger ... then choke, gag and shudder a bit while spitting them out.

Until now I had no idea those even existed. I've never gotten one of those. Boy am I glad, yuck!
