Grapefruit seed extract has a reputation as an antibiotic/anti-infective, but I have seen studies showing the grapefruit seed oil itself has no such activity - it is the preservative added to the seed oil that has the effect - pure grapefruit seed oil has no effects.

Grape Seed Extract is a very different animal - there are hundreds of studies showing that it can strengthen blood vessels, improve stability of collagen, etc. One study shows that grape seed extract can be useful as an add-on for treating candida.

Thanks, I've been Googling around but wasn't quite sure if people were getting the two supplements mixed up with each other. :)

I'm curious to these sources you speak of, do you have links to these studies? I grew up on holistics and beg to differ.
