I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using a salt crystal lamp for any sort of treatment. I should probably preface this with that I am a believer in traditional medicine, so I don’t deride it on those grounds. I understand that they are said to treat both depression and some breathing problems.

Is there anyone who can tell me a little more about them? If I decide to give one a try, should I avoid taking any other supplements when using it? I have also read that Himalayan Salt Lamps are a bit of a pseudoscience, but I understand the principles of the use of salt in balancing the Chi.

Thank you!

I love salt lamps. I started with the candle and it had a really good effect on my emotions, stability-wise. So I bought another, a plug-in kind, and put that next to my bed all night and slept like a baby (30 watts, dimmer switch). Then I got a big one for the living room, and that's good too. Salt lamps are sort of an on-going project with me, I gotta save up to get one.

If I had to have just one, I'd get the candle because I can move it around from room to room (even the bathroom with no plugs).

fwiw, I get mine from Solay.

I almost forgot to comment on the science - that's because I don't know - except that the thing about ions always works well on me.

Thank you very much, and thank you for the brand tip off. I had a look at their store, and I have been looking across eBay and this catalog that my mom gets. I really thank you for the response, and I think that I really will try one out then. Especially if it has some change in the mood!
