I got to watch the Olympics last night (don't have TV so had to go to a sports bar) and totally enjoyed it. I really like the numbers part of it. Watching a figure skater and thinking what her score would be and seeing the number the judges come up with and then comparing all the ranks of the skaters based on their numbers. And the race type sports - I love the clocks, watching them, comparing times...

In my case it's more for the aesthetic value (regarding figure skating), and the competitiveness (races). It's quite a hype here in the Netherlands, but that's mostly because we have a great bunch of skaters participating in Torino. Other sports (though ice dancing/figure skating got good ratings too) usually don't get great ratings.
