I have them in places around my torso and would like to get rid of them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Short of plastic surgery you can't do anything. They'll fade with time. Personally, I'd never get rid of my stretch marks... my son used to live in there. I'm proud he left a mark on me.

Stretch marks begin deep under the skin, and really can't ever be eradicated. I've had them since I was eleven. I got even more after childbirth. They don't bother me, though. I guess I just got used to them.

How can olive oil remove stretch marks? :? It might make the skin more supple and smooth, but I doubt it has the power to take away scars, which is what stretch marks are.

Well this is just one of those homespun remedies that all families have. This one comes from Italy and whilst it won't completely remove them - as you're right, they're scars - it will fade their appearances over time.

you want to look for dermatology creams with "alpha hydroxy acid" in it. That type of acid renews the pigment in the skin, giving a more even skin tone between the marks and the regular skin. You also might want to try working out, crunches and exercises to work your abs, as the muslce will help tighten/stretch the skin some, to help do away with loose skin

Not that this is in any way an answer, but is funny and about stretch marks (WARNING: Crude humor and profanity in video):

I don't even think plastic surgery can do much for them. A lot of them do fade, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time *glares at my thighs to fade quicker*

Well I've never needed to try it, but I know people who have and it has.

A cream/lotion of some sort, maybe?

Try Vitamin E oil or cream. I had big stretch marks on my stomach that were bright red and looked like a large animal had attacked me. I used vitamin e oil every day for months and eventually they got to the point where I can hardly see them anymore except from a certain angle. Like others have said, they don't go away completely, but they are now just one shade lighter than the skin around them.

When I had my surgery I used vitamin e cream for the scars and they faded quickly. I'm now using the cream again for the burn scars on my hand and they seem to be responding well.

I've heard that the oil is better than the cream but I don't know if that's true. But the oil is sticky at first contact so I used to only use it at night and sleep in an old shirt that I didn't care about getting stuff on (the oil didn't leave a stain or damage it, but I hate getting my clothes dirty and was paranoid that it would leave a mark). I switched to the cream for my surgery because I didn't want to deal with the stickiness again, and for my hands I hate having anything on my hands but cream is slightly better than sticky oil.

You can't really "remove" them. But they aren't bad! Even men have them. Honestly no one minds them.
