Not sure whether this goes under "health", but considering that it regards the body and deviations from my physical norm, I saw this forum to be the most fitting.

I've recently noticed that one of my bizarre perseverations, stomach wounds (I...really don't know how that developed), seems to intensify the week before I develop PMS symptoms.

I theorize that maybe it has something to do with the fact that two weeks prior to Menstruation is normally a period of ovulation, in which cravings for things such as food and...other stuff usually increase.

All biobabble aside, I have a question for the fellow women on the spectrum out there; do your perseverations usually get stronger before or during PMS?

I'm really not sure. I haven't tracked it and my period always catches me by surprise.

However, is it possible that you're unconsciously feeling some tenderness in your abdomen and the fixation on stomach wounds is your brain's way of communicating with you about it? My neice says she can feel an ache when she's ovulating. If it bothers you, try taking some Midol or Premsen PMS next time and see if things don't ease up.

That is...wow 8o A very interesting theory! Thanks!

Well...I guess it'd make sense, but it's been a perseveration I've had since I was, like, three. xD;; However, it wasn't this intense of an obsession until...right around my menarche. Wow...

Perhaps I should try something like that, but things are pretty much in control. I didn't know there was a medication targeted specifically for PMS! =D
