I should get a Melbourne Tigers membership for next season (on a full season basis you can save above 10-15% on the ticket price per match I think). they are not for sale yet.

My dad is a Member of the Western Bulldogs Football Club (AFL team)
My brother is a member of the Melbourne Victory Soccer Club (A League)

When you say a membership, do you mean something like being a member to the "supporters club" or just something simply like getting a season ticket.

In order to attend some matches at big premier league teams, like Man United i think you need to be a member of their supporters club or their system, or something like that. They dont give you a discount but you need to be a member to buy tickets. Anyway Im not a member.

However I am a season ticket holder at Bristol Rovers. As a student though, I get about 60% off if i went to every home match, compared to paying on the gate. Next season however I am thinking of getting a season ticket in a different area, though in this case i would only get about 30-40% off. Also I get priority for bigger cup games, if we, for example were going to play Man United in the FA cup and likely to sell out our tickets fairly quickly.

Maybe I missed something but was there supposed to be a question in your post?

Also out of interest how much is the membership cost in relation to tickets normally?

I'm in the odd situation where my favourite team's membership is free (there is quite literally no paid-for option) and I can't join it because of technical problems.

I'll be getting a Sydney FC season ticket for the 2010/2011 A-League (football/soccer) season.

I have membership in MyFootballClub. Pay up the £50 a year, you can hold a share in the club. So currently me and 3800 people own 75% of the team Ebbsfleet United - which is soon to be in the Blue Square South league. (Level 6 in England)

I thought they owned the whole club, or has it changed fairly recently?

Hows it going anyway? I heard membership drastically fell after the first year. Also do you make much money out of it?

Nah... I don't hold any memberships in a sports club at all, incl. my favorite football team Newcastle United (stupid Mike Ashley)...

I have season tickets to the San Francisco 49ers, and also my family shares season tickets for the San Jose Sharks, so we get to go to a quarter of their games.

Newcastle Knights Rugby League Football Club

If I lived in Melbourne, I'd buy a Melbourne Storm RL one too

No, the original agreement was for 75% of the club. Though this may change if we can't bring in enough money.

Speaking of which, we have roughly a tenth of the original membership at Feb. 2008. As a result, we had to drastically reduce the budget and ended up with a side that was too poor to stay in the Conference National.

Do we make money? No. The membership fee goes to the operation budget of the club.
