Hi all. I would like to know what are your favorite kinds of salad and/or salad ingredients. I just tried an asian salad off a local resteraunt menu, it had all sorts of greens bright and dark, some blackberry and some red berry that looked similar, chow mein noodles, some sesame seeds, and a smoky sweet dressing...

I haven't had many types of salad before, but this was amazing to me. The nutty flavor, taste of two kinds of rich berries, the crunch and dry feel of chow mein noodles, and the smoky, sweet, and salty dressing covering it was a blast to my senses... I feel awesome after eating it too which is a plus.

What about you?

Here's one of my favorite salads: A mixture of spring greens or bitter salad mix, dried cranberries, walnuts, feta cheese dressing and a dressing made of honey, crushed garlic, and lemon juice.

That sounds delicious. Does it have a name?

My salad's normally have a lot of fruit in them. Also cucumbers, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, triscuit crackers, avacadoes, alfalfa sprouts, and yogurt for dressing.

Yogurt as dressing and triscuit crackers? That's a new one for me... I will have to try that soon. Thanks for posting.

We call it THE salad. :) I usually buy the chopped salad greens that come in a bag in the produce section. BTW, if you try it, don't use iceberg lettuce. It tastes terrible. Darker greens like arugula and romaine work well. I crush a clove of garlic and whisk it into lemon juice and honey. You keep tasting it until you get a nice mix of sweet and sour. Then toss the dried cranberries and walnuts and crumbled feta cheese together. You can use all the dressing at once, or just pour some of it over individual portions.

Well, if the cole slaw at KFC could be considered a salad, then that's my favorite - it's the only salad that I'll go out of my way to get.

My favorite salad ingredients include:
-Spinach
-Lettuce
-Avocado
-Feta cheese
-Bell peppers (usually green)
-Cucumbers
-Mushrooms

I don't usually use dressing, but when I do, I go for some kind of vinaigrette.

Another thing I like to do, is take leftover brown rice and mix it with tuna, dried cherries, chopped celery and mayonnaise. A spoonful of pickle relish is good in this, too. I serve it with Romaine lettuce leaves.

Low-calorie spritzer is what I use instead of dressings like Thousand Island or Bleu Cheese.
