Ok, for a description of what I did, read the following:

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt163637.html

I ate a piece of meat with too much salt on it, then gobbled sugar when my body went haywire. A week later, I'm having trouble sleeping. I can't seem to go to sleep, or stay asleep. I was up for a night and two days a couple nights ago, then last night I tried to sleep but woke up every few minutes. I assume that it's the salt and sugar doing it. Now what should I do to get rid of it all? I need some sort of flush or cleanse. Any suggestions?

I don't know exactly. A quick google search tells me that you should drink plenty of water to dilute the sodium. Hope it helps!

The only true cleanse is good ole water and a day or two of fasting. If you can handle that, I'd recommend fasting for at least twenty-four hours. You can still drink fruit juices and water, and you should drink plenty of that. If you've got too much sugar in your system, it may be a good idea to leave out the juices completely. Fasting gives your body a chance to deal with toxins and such without adding anything new to the mix. If you can't or wont fast, you still need to drink plenty, and I mean plenty of fluids.

I can relate to what you have written. My body is very sensitive to certain forms of sodium. One thing that I've found hellpful is eating celery. It is one of those detoxifying vegetables. And of course drink plenty of water.

I decided to eat the absolute minimum amount of food that my body needs, and drink plenty of water. I'm already starting to feel the effects. I simply can't handle fasting. I am very sensitive-probably the result of eating too much fast food when I was younger.

i only buy organic celery, but sometimes ill end up just throwing it away because it has an unpleasant industrial taste. (my hunch is sometimes you get the ones that were grown near the path, bioaccumulating from the exhaust fumes of farmyard diesel vehicles - nigerian chocolate is contaminated in this way)

E2A: as an emergency short-term thing (like this) id eat the celery (assuming it tastes ok) what i meant above is more for the daily long-term.

It's certainly a trying prospect to give out on food, but it is helpful in many circumstances, but I understand your inability. I often find it incredibly difficult to fast, even the prospect itself is daunting.
You should be okay eating the bare minimum, although that may just make you feel hungrier.

I drank lemon juice mixed with warm water. It worked-I had burning stool for a day, and now I feel MUCH better!
