How do you get rid of the buggers? What works for you?

My friend once used cucumber to great relief. I've been using this roll on stuff my girlfriend uses. My bags are very noticeable.

Enough sleep.

But when I get enough sleep, which is rare, then they're puffy.

Wish I knew :( Even when I do get some decent sleep I still seem to have them!

Bags are NOT the same thing as dark circles.

Bags = puffy skin.

Dark circles = darkened skin.

I love having them. I like looking sickly, that way... the dark I have around my eyes is often dark enough to be able to be mistaken for makeup.

Some time ago, they had a commercial on television about a cold medicine. Before she took it, she looked sickly, with dark around her eyes, and was so beautiful... then she became well and looked boring. >_>

I know, it's a thread for suggestions... but it may be good to know that some find them to be beautiful.

Mine are not noticable but I am scared they'll get darker... I've never had dark circles before... even though my sleeping patterns were messed up right from childhood...

They may be a sign of allergies - food allergies (dairy and caffeine being the most common - consider allergy tests both for food and common allergies such as pollen and dust). Lack of iron can seriously contribute to the problem, and excessive toxin build-up can be a factor too - basically good diet, lots of water, and consider a good multivitamin too!

If it is just dark circles - rather than dark circles plus puffiness, which can be helped a lot more - then there's not much you can do, it's simply down to blood vessels passing under the thin layer of skin under the eye, if diet and allergies have been ruled out, and if you're getting enough sleep (which you aren't, but understandably there's maybe not much you can do to help that) then it's just genetic.

All you can do is work to hide them. Cool tea bags, potato or cucumber (will help with bags too) or I use teaspoons that have been in the freezer overnight, these in theory will help a little by encouraging the blood as far away from the surface of the skin as possible. Then concealer with a slightly yellow tint applied gently under the eyes. Also if you wear it, avoid mascara or it'll just end up slipping down during the day making dark circles worse, instead try dying your lashes and then use coconut oil on the lashes to emphasise the lashes.

lol, no that probably doesn't help :)
I sometimes wear heavy eye liner myself...and don't always wash off before bed.
FYI - in case you don't already, use oil to clean off eye make-up, works better than washes/cleansers/etc and much gentler on the skin around your eyes, less scrubbing and more conditioning of your lashes and skin - personally I recommend sweet almond oil.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind... I used to use coconut oil but stopped using anything to wash my kohl off like since 2 weeks... I don't wash my eye area properly either when I wash my face... skin under the eyes dries up very fast if I use soap...

Well no wonder, soap is bad for all skin, shouldn't be used on the face at all. Try Oil Cleansing Method.

I tried OCM it did not work for me :( My skin breaks out pretty soon after I try it... I used 20 % Castor oil and 80% EVOO... Maybe I was not doing it right?

Damn, shame.
I'd say OCD is pretty fool-proof, I'd say may be that the oil combination didn't work for you - perhaps higher ratio of castor oil to EVOO or go for 100% almond oil, hell, if just on eyes alone then a normal cleanser on the rest. I use about a 30:70 CO:EVOO which works fine for me, more olive oil the more likely it is for me to break-out...some people also love jojoba oil but that caused me major break-outs.

I have these dark lines running down diagonally on my cheekbones. I can't really be bothered to try and find out what they are, and why they are there. Can anyone enlighten me?

It's kind of like the dark circles you get from sleep deprivation, except my eyes aren't puffy and it's a straight line down instead of framing my eyes like a circle. I don't really care about the aesthetics, but I've got this nagging little voice in the back of my head telling me I should have it checked.
