I was reading this
http://www.grc.nia.nih.gov/branches/rrb ... goatad.pdf
because I have a lot of inflammation type problems as well as problems with the streptococcus infections like strep throat and pneumonia and was wondering if you have problems with inflammation and/or strep and what you do to fight this? I take vibrant health with probioticsGreen Vibrance with probiotics but I was wondering if there is anything specifically to fight strep and inflammation that you knew of? Google searching has left me ?????

I'm not sure about strep, but you can alleviate/prevent inflammation by making dietary changes and avoiding certain foods. Eating more whole foods and avoiding processed foods is a good start. (Some of the biggest culprits behind inflammation are found primarily in processed junk foods: refined grains, sugars, trans fats, certain cooking oils). And certain foods, like salmon and green vegetables, are said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.

For a supplement that might help with inflammation and fighting colds, i like vitamin D3. It has been found to help prevent infections. An article I recall about that:

"More evidence links higher vitamin D with lower risk of infection"
http://www.drbriffa.com/2011/06/07/more ... infection/

What is more interesting about D3 has been Dr. Cannell's writings. he has a free newsletter where he often talks about the improvements autistic patients see that take D3, raising levels between 50 to 80ng/ml. For example from one of his newsletters.

"Yet Another Autism Case Report"

Yes, these are all good anti-inflammation tips. For in-depth details, there are many books that give the lifestyle changes needed to control chronic inflammation. Inflammatory problems of various sorts run in my family so I'm working on those changes.
