I need to drop about 30 pounds of muscle (13.6 kilograms) as soon as possible. I'm currently on a diet of less than 500 calories per day. I used a weight loss calculator and it said even if I go down to 100 calories, it'll take 60 days!!
I plan on taking multi-vitamins, but that seems like way too long. My body is very muscular and I naturally can go from 160 to 170 and back in 48 hours. Can it really take that long to lose muscle?

Losing that much weigh so quickly is extremely unhealthy.

Eating so few calories will shut down your metabolism and not only would you probably not lose weight like you want, you could hurt yourself. Your body will do everything it can to protect itself from this madness, including breaking down your organs. (the heart is a muscle too)
Why do you want to lose muscle? Do you do a lot of lifting? If so, switch to cardio and maybe cut your protein intake (?). But expect it to take a while to lose any kind of real weight.

Why exactly do you need to drop weight? Does you job depend on it? Are you competing in a certain weight division?

I wouldn't mind my metabolism slowing; in fact I'd love if it did. I currently eat around 5-6000 calories a day if I'm active and 3-4000 when I'm not, and I still don't gain weight. With as much muscle as I have, I cant imagine my heart would be near the top of the menu.

The reason I want to lose this much is my own business. It can't be that unhealthy since my body drops 20 pounds if I'm sick for more than 3 days.

Change what you eat, start doing moderate amount of weight training and get some cardio three times a week.

Go about your business then. The method to dropping weight is dependent entirely upon your intentions for doing so. Can't help you there, bud.

Very quick and large drops in weight, like losing 20 pounds after 3 sick days, is usually just water loss and hardly any fat/muscle loss. Personally, I can go up or down 5 - 7 pounds in a day based on water retention/loss.

I'm trying to lose muscle, not fat.

check out this blog post on why you shouldn't cut calories as that the generic advise that not going to help you. Also take your temperature 20 min after your meal and make sure your 98F and above if not tweak your ratios. Means your metabolism isn't at it's best.

You sound knowledgeable about this subject, and you seem to know your own body, which leaves me curious as to why you would ask this question on an Asperger's site. I'm not trying to be a smartass ... I sincerely don't get the connection.

Wouldn't you get better information from a source with more medical/sports training credibility?

Last summer I was down to 100-500 calories a day for months and months. I also lost half my hair and it only grew back once I started eating again. Your body will not last on 100 calories a day.
