My life coach at Arizona State University Inclusive Communities, recommended the 10-day NLP Mind Fest program online. It starts tomorrow with Day 3 and goes to Day 10. Then they are going to reschedule Day 1 and Day 2 because their site got overloaded with 60,000 visitors and they were not ready for it. NLP Mindfest is FREE. It takes 2-3 hours per day, and each day is available for 24 hours. If you miss any or want to own the whole set, it is $160 to buy it. So, today is a really good day to start to get it FREE.

Inclusive Communities has some studies that show that life coaching can be really effective for people with ADHD. They are taking on a large number of clients with autism in hopes that it will also be helpful for us, and they think it will. Life coaching is also becoming popular among hi-level managers and executives. My life coach told me that he thinks that neuro-lingusitic programming (NLP) might be particularly useful for people with autism, and that is why she recommended the NLP Mind Fest to all or many of her clients.

Here is the link to sign up for the FREE NLP Mindfest, which starts tonight at 8:00 CST: http://www.learningstrategies.com/NLPMindfest

Another one I found on my own is Anthony Robbins Personal Power 2. It is a 30-day program that takes an hour per day. It only works if you do the exercises, not just listen. Normally it is $220 new on CDs from Amazon. But I found it for under $25 on Legal Sounds. Is Legal Sounds REALLY legal? Well, my logic for its legality is simply that I would rather buy my music and audio books from a foreign (Russian) prima facie legitimate operating store front than copy it from a friend without paying for it, leaving the government to shut down anything that is not legal, and I LIKE low prices! That way, also, we do not discriminate against small business owners who do not have the same capacity to advertise and appear legit. They sell it in MP3 format so you can listen on your Ipod, in your car, et al.

Sounds like you need to find a new coach. He thinks that neuro-lingusitic programming might be useful ? Life coaching means that being coached. Not doing selfhelp bs.
This sounds like an ad not anything helpful.

That is an interesting reply from you. The life coaching series costs $1000 per month, and then it tapers down as low as $400 per month. They also have income-contingent contributions. For that price, they had better know what they are doing! Since it is based at ASU, I have a little more trust for their evidence basis than I would if it were a for-profit practice. Like I mentioned, before, they have studies showing efficacy for people with ADHD, and they have good reasons to believe that it will help people with autism. They seem pretty honest about what they know and what they do not know, too.

My message here could be considered an ad for all 3 programs: ASU Inclusive Communities, NLP Mindfest, and Anthony Robbins Personal Power II, maybe even Legal Sounds as well. But my intention is not to advertise but rather to spread the word and seek help for myself. I appreciate your comments because it is another point of view about the efficacy of self-help NLP instruction that I need to hear.

Giving me a link to a free NLP seminar is certainly not what the life coach does for his money. But if he thinks it is useful, and most of the clients are doing it at the same time and talking about it with the coach, I think it worthy of my consideration. So far, it seems to be pretty helpful stuff, ideas that put in practice could lead to a better life for me.

I will happily listen to successful people tell me their secrets for success, but I'm a little skeptical about spending 20 hours with the panel of unknown 'experts' on this cheap looking website.

ASU Inclusive Communities that part sounds fine. A life coach sounds like a good idea.
NLP has been discredited as a subject based on the lack of it not working.
