I learn something useful every time I watch his show. He makes so much sense to me.

It isn't a show that I watch, but believe my mom does. She seems to enjoy it and will mention something from it from time to time. Recall this article from nutritionist Gary Taubes writing about his time on the Oz show. Thought it was interesting.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is only a cardiologist. I listen to his advice when it comes to knowing how to be heart-healthy, but at least he brings experts on his show who know alot about other health-related matters. For example, he once hosted a segment on ADHD, and had Dr. Ned Hallowell explain how ADHD impacts a person's life.

Syphon, it's for that reason that I feel comfortable with Dr. Oz. He gives his experience in his area of expertise, and has on other professionals to talk about theirs. He explains things in such a way that I feel I can apply the advice immediately. I'm sure there's room for disagreement, but at least it SEEMS realistic, and reasonable.

I don't know, maybe it's mostly his demeanor and the way he speaks, but I always learn something from him.

i agree he is very interesting and for the most part what he has said agrees with things i learned in college or just research ive done on my own. its a talk show you can actually learn from not the general gossip you get from most of them. i also kinda admire his interpersonal skills and take mental notes although i know ill never be personable like him!
