Why so many?

I take six 1mg nabilone pills which is synthetic THC and 4 Co-Respiridone (.25) / day

hmmm, let's seee...
*desipramine, scripted for dysthymia and [atypically] ADHD [inattentive subtype]
*concerta, scripted for dythymia and ADHD inattentive subtype
*strattera, for the same reasons as the other two above.
the desipramine/norpramin, while effective initially, had unfriendly side fx such as flushing, heat intolerance, hot temper. the concerta had the same effects but worse. the strattera, OTOH, was almost perfect, in that the only side FX it had was GERD. but my insurance stopped covering it, and i couldn't afford the $600 monthly out-of-pocket cost for it, so i had to drop it. as a side note, the atenolol [beta blocker] that was initially scripted for my hypertension, also had the GOOD side effect of eliminating my free-floating anxiety and intentional tremors. better living through chemistry, i suppose

None, thank God. The thought of taking any frightens me quite a bit, actually.

I'm on the last 2 now, zoloft is a low dose and I take the valium as needed. I hope to be off of them eventually as I'm being treated for Lyme Disease and the anxiety/depression symptoms came at the same time as my fatigue, so my doctor thinks they are related. That would be nice, haha

I tried prozac....it sucked and I threw the rest away and decided to hell with SSRIs

I was prescribed Celexa, told to try it for a month, in middle school, I didn't like it and stopped after that month.

i really need a smart pill.

Lexapro: I've enjoyed it so far.

I've been on Luvox, Ativan, Trazadone, Effexor XR, Seroquil and Clonazapam.

valium is a GOOD drug. nothing else touched my back pain. medicate me please.

I got a prescription for Citalopram a few months ago, but the very first time I took it, I had a bad reaction, so I'm not taking any meds now.

Valium worked for me in the past as an occasional major stress / anxiety reliever. The brand name Valium is a mild mood lifter for me as well. But I haven't had a prescription for it in a long time.


By the way, I found out from my insurance :

If you can get a doc to write a prescription for Valium/Diazepam, and you'd prefer the brand Valium but the cost is too high, if you can get the doctor to write on the prescription "Valium brand, no substitutes/no generic", it will cost less for Valium brand with your drug health insurance than if they don't specify it. (At least that's with my insurance plan in the US)

2007) Celexa to treat anxiety, led to depression, I'll take anxiety over depression any day.

2009) Zoloft is like a wonder pill, I actually enjoy doing stuff, I just have to discover my off switch.

2011) Topamax, also called dopamax, was meant to treat the anger managment issues I had. I'd rather be pissed off than in a daze.

2012) Depakote was also for the anger managment, it made me so hungry that I had trouble reading. Deal breaker.

Zoloft it is, the anger managment isn't going to be solved by the meds appearantly.

it takes a combination of the mellowing effects of age and of much rumination on the subject of the human condition.

So "wait for it" and "discuss" are the new meds.

not so much discussion, as the only person i had available to act as a sounding board, was/is the reflection in the mirror. but waiting for the frontal lobes of my late-developing brain to fully come on line, so they could chug through all my memories and parse the deeper meanings from them all, was an unavoidable stop on the way to greater wisdom and equanimity. i hope that made sense.
