I don't know what you mean by running about, but I do like running. I try to run a mile a day, but I hate running infront of people. They always comment because apparently I run 'weird'. I also don't know what to do with my arms lol

I used to run for 20 minutes a day a few years ago, but my health isn't good enough for that any more so I go swimming instead. I also run 'oddly', with arm flapping etc but I've found that if I hold a water bottle in one hand and my MP3 player in the other I can look a bit more normal.

Do you mean for exercise? I'm a terrible runner because I have flat feet so I tend to do stationary things like boot camp or plyometric type work outs. I enjoy them immensely.

I run but I can't run that long because of shin splints, which is new to me and I'm not sure how to deal with them yet.

An hour sounds extreme unless you are training for a marathon, try to mix it up with hill sprints and interval running, for example, sprinting 100 metres for every 400 metres.

Do stretches before and after a run, another stretch you can do is stay in standing position and extend one leg out at a 90 degree angle, keep it straight, flex foot up and down repetitively thirty times. After that, do an inwards circle motion with your foot ten times and an outward motion ten times, repeat on the other leg afterwards.
