I'm fighting a really bad case of burnout right now, so, I've decided to take the summer off (from school) and have a bit of fun.
After finals I'm going to kayak and fish the entire Buffalo National River (about 120 miles depending on rain).
Here's a really good (semi-pro) documentary on the river. Starting at 15:29 there's some nice "action footage." It's only class II/borderline class III rapids, but it is interesting.

I don't have time to do the whole river in one trip. I'll probably break it up into about 4 or 5 day/overnight floats.
Camping on the river is so peaceful. There's no light pollution and the sky is so black and starry--nothing to worry about but rabid elk and a few black bears pulling the "reverse Goldilocks."
So, anybody else have "big plans" this summer?
