Like I'd have to do it everyday to get anywhere with building rather than just feel good for the next couple hours?

I hate restarting every couple days due to helping my parents out or homework or whatever.

I'd say yes, pretty much. I like everyday if possible, just doing something. It's less about keeping a "routine" and more about exercising consistently, if that makes any sense. The problem with keeping a strict routine is that other things get in the way, but I feel you have to do something each day. I think what's making my statements is that I've been on vacation for 3 weeks with my family and not worked out at all and feel like crap and have gained like 10 pounds. So that's what I think.
