Okay so I eat(most of the time)insanely strict and rigid. At school during the school year I eat a yogurt in the morning and a PB&J at lunch and then I wait until I get home to have snack and eat dinner. The staff members at my school give me hell about my diet. Telling me that what I eat isn't "a lot" or I need to have "special allowances" and how I "need to treat myself". I can't f*****g treat myself! My metabolism is sh***y! It's bad enough I pigged out today and am paranoid about weight gain at the moment but my f*****g meds make my metabolism horrible! So if they can afford their "special allowances" with their calorie budget go ahead! Treat yourself!

One time a staff member who is borderlin diabetic said this to me:

Me: Eating is nice I just try not to do it often

Staff Member: It's hard to believe body image was never a problem for you...

Me: Well there's a different between body image and gluttony.

I used to weigh 235 pounds. Food does not equal good body image. Body image is about being happy with how you look. I have worked my ass off to get to where I am today.

Any advice on how to deal with those people at school?

How you did, pretty much. I have this problem in my own house, it's so tough, I find it as tough as keeping up religious restrictions really. Everyone else seems unbridled in their passions so to speak, you pretty much have to just agree to disagree with them. That said, treats are OK, just there's a difference between once in a while and all the time. You might also be better off just saying "Yes, I do treat myself occasionally, it's not your concern when I do." But it's tough, so so tough. My mom even told me a few days ago "You're too young to care about your health." And because of her buying processed food, I was 230lbs a few years ago. Ugh.

At work, I think it'd be a bit easier to tell people to shove off, but in your house, so much worse.

Me personally, I even take an extreme view that many people who say such things wish to bring other people down with them, whether consciously or subconsciously.

It's very annoying. The main reason why I eat the way I do is clothing and fashion related. I'll do anything it takes to maintain a size 18/20(2x-3x)in clothing.

Apparently the staff members at school think that healthy eating and maintaining beauty is anorexia. I'm just sick and tired of it.

And you know what is really sad about it? Most of the staff members that preach this s**t to me are women!! !! I find that very tragic and pathetic that they don't embrace their gender. I strongly believe that women were suppose to consume less food than men and stay the same size so they can have a closet full of beautiful clothes.

My dream job is a plus size model. One of the staff members pulled the "Do you think that all models are healthy?"crap on me. Isn't that the point? I mean, my doctors say I'm perfectly healthy. Being a model is all about clothing and how you eat. Even if I never become a model, that doesn't mean that I can't live the model lifestyle.

I think people who see others who do eat quite healthly tend to label them and decide to become the "food police" - even if they know absolutely nothing about you, your body or nutrition and fitness in general.

*Everybody* has an opinion of what you should or should not eat, but nobody will admit to having the slightest bit of knowledge about particle physics or whatnot. The difference is they delude themselves into thinking they know something about nutrition when generally they don't. They will admit to not know anything about particle physics, however.

The other side of this is attitude - they may be worried about your attitude to your body image and your relationship with food in general, and that worry may be manifesting itself in these comments. Most people I know do not have an overtly healthy relationship with food in general - but that doesn't stop them from commenting on others attitudes to it.

If anything I fear for their body image. Apparently based on the crap they give me they excessively treat themselves and then they whine and moan about how "guilty" they feel. I don't feel guilty because of how healthy I eat. I did an hour on the treadmill after breakfast today and I feel wonderful. As long as I have my awesome closet of beautiful clothes I am happy. I don't care what I have to do.
