This years AFL (aussie Rules) and NRL (rugby league) grand finals were this weekend between Sydney and Melbourne.
AFL
Hawthorn Hawks vs Sydney Swans. Sydney Swans came to Melbourne and went home the Premiers.

NRL
Canterbury Bulldogs vs Melbourne Storm.
Storm came to Sydney and will return home the Premiers.

Both of these games were close and exciting to watch (I watched both games, when it comes to the football codes I only watch finals)
This is a crossover because the traditional home of AFL in australia is Melbourne and the traditional home of Rugby League is Sydney.

I cant believe hawthorne losts sooo damn easily!! i dont really follow the codes but i did watch yesterdays match between sydney n tassy... and i didnt watch todays game as i was enjoying the beautiful weather!! Darwin had its 1st storms for the year xD
But i did enjoy yesterdays game ^-^ I just cant believe bth codes had the finals on the same weekend its like WOW!! !

the weather down in melb on saturday was standard melbourne because it was pouring one minute then sunny then it would rain again then sunny again.
Sydney had nice weather for the NRL game.

I think its cool the way that the two cities have swapped trophies.
