I figure skate, not part of a club, just in public sessions. Eventually once I get my s**t in order, I'll join US Figure Skating Association and go do some freestyle sessions, but for now I'm by myself in public sessions. After joining USFSA or ISI, there may be some avenues for local clubs I could join, don't know. As it is now, the way I'm doing it is cheapest for me, $30 a month unlimited public ice time and a gym. I also lift weights at the gym, too, but that's not really a sport. Again, once I get my s**t together, I might join a local weightlifting club, but oddly Olympic style weightlifting clubs and coaching are pretty expensive, like as expensive as ice skating. I know the one "real" coach around here charges like $100 an hour, there's Crossfit, but I don't think they'd have the caliber of coaching I'm looking for, nor would their training fit in with my sport specific goals.
