Does smoking over time weed cause agressive behaviour? I ask this because today my brother lashed out at my even though he has been nice as pie too me for the last few months it was just a bit shocking too see him lose his temper after he has been so placid recently.

My brother told me smokes drugs like weed and other things etc......

Weed relaxes you but if he has any bottled up anger it is more likely to come out
due to lower inhabitions. Other drugs however might increase hostility.

It should not, it usually allows people to think more clearly about their emotions and not get so uptight. Of coarse, it depends on the individual, some people are not fit to consume things like this because it makes them act negatively. Also, if he hasn't been getting high lately, there's a possibility that he may be a bit let's call it flustered, a somewhat common side effect of people who do a lot of substance and find themselves without them, and sober. It usually goes away quickly from what I have heard, just a short annoyance. It might be a problem if they are serious addicts though. Some people also just have "moments" no matter if they consume substances or not.

I'm not sure about weed, but I'm certain that sports for example like racing cycling and running/jogging causes individuals to become extremely aggressive towards others, because most of them can't reach or stay in their exercise highs and get totally frustrated about it. Not to mention, any type of distraction or barricade that forces them to slowdown or stop, gets them out of their high and makes them go psycho.

I can get a bit angry during a work out if I'm interrupted, or shortly after a workout if people bother me too much, because I just need to relax and heal for awhile. I don't go crazy or anything though.

It can be hard to say. I've never felt aggressive from cannabis--most people don't.

Weed doesn't make people mean. It can make somebody mean and snappy at people if they are used to smoking and are out though. You said he smokes other drugs, and the only one's I know of that can be smoked besides weed are crack, meth and smack. Crack and meth can make you pretty mean and smack makes people sleepy and out of it, depending on how much they do.

Some drugs do have a paradoxical reaction on some people though. My oldest son gets belligerant as hell if he takes a xanax, and xanax usually mellows people right out. We found out about this when the doctor gave him just 1mg to take an hour before he had to have a blood draw, because he has a huge needle phobia and passes out. He got HORRIBLE.

But overall, weed makes people mellow and cooperative.
ETA; Depending on the weed. If he got a blunt that was dipped in syrup or was sprayed with ice then it very well may make him aggressive. I once saw someone smoke one of those without knowing what was in it and get in a huge fight. Weed isn't usually "laced" with stuff like some anti-drug campaigns want you to think it is, because that stuffs not free. You pay more for that. But if somebody brings a blunt over and doesn't mention that it's dipped or sprayed, either because they forgot or they assume you know from the taste, then it can happen.

I think weed mellows u out when ur actually smoking it, the problems that come are more related to lack of weed/ coming down. When im actually stoned, basically nothing can get me to snap...Just for every bit of up you're going to get a down. During that down you do have a tendency to have a lower snapping point than is usual...

Some people have anger problems when they are not on their drug be it legal or illegal drugs.
