So, what tips or tricks using re-purposed materials or everyday household items can you offer? I'd be interested to hear about tried-and-true home remedies, too.

Personally, I will sometimes use soup cans or pasta jars while working out, if the free weights I have on-hand don't seem to be the right size and/or weight. Or, if I feel like I have too much product build-up in my hair, I'll mix a little baking soda into my shampoo.

I know this isn't "Health & Beauty', but it is a MacGyver moment...

My tool shed uses split and flattened beer cans instead of asphalt shingles on the roof.

Three large coffee cans are the shades of the lamps over the workbench.

Actually, that's really cool, though. I think maybe I sometime I should start a "favorite MacGyver moment" thread in another forum and broaden it a bit.

I slather my face and body in coconut oil at night before bed to look and feel soft to the touch. The effects of using this oil have been almost overwhelming! The women I've had feel my body are amazed and envious all at the same time. Once they get a feel, they cannot help but to keep stroking my soft and glowing skin while making comments like "Your skin is way softer than mine!" "Oh my god it's so smooth!" and "Wow what moisturizor do you use? All because I use what is known as a dietary aid/cooking oil as a moisturizor!

When I was a young teen with barely any money at all I would lift 1 gallon milk jugs full of water in many different ways to add more variety to my bodyweight exercises I would do, which made me a bit stronger and better looking after awhile.

After the shower at night, rub vasoline on your feet and put on white socks to sleep in. When you wake up they will be so soft!

I mix a bit of olive oil into white sugar for a nice facial scrub. It works especially well to smooth and soften your lips when they're dry. I also use coffee grounds as a scrub as an agent against cellulite.
