So i was struggling for that last curl...this random 20-30-something fellow walked in front of me and said something akin to pep talk like good job! or something, just a phrase which i forgot by now though it was only lime 10 mins ago. I assumed he was speaking to me (he had friends with him).

I was slightly annoyed with him and turned around and said something similar but i said dawg at the end.
he was like did you something and i repeated myself. he was like what and i said never mind.

resumed workout but tried to talk to him as i left, to which i called bad judgement and stopped myself.
though he did look my way.

social autopsy anyone? tanks a lot.

btw yesterday i injured my knee squatting when i stopped using my back. Maybe i should resume deadlifting, as i stopped doing that right before my back hurt from squatting

Don't die.

Social autosopy? Who cares. Just some guy at the gym.

For the knees, I find volume hurts my knees most. You seem to be very into high volume. High reps, one thing about them, they allow your form to degrade if you're not focused while doing them. You can also wear sleeves, too, to keep the knees warm. I wouldn't go for wraps yet, but sleeves are nice imo. Also, light warmup and stretching is good, don't go crazy with it, but hip flexors are good to stretch.

My opinion could be you're just hurting yourself with volume. You seem to always do like 10+ reps of everything, all the time. It's good to do sometimes, but not all the time. And if your form is bad on an exercise, it's definitely not good to just force reps out with bad form. You probably shouldn't in a given day, do over 30 or so reps with any exercise. If you do go for high rep programs, it needs to be done within like 50-60% of your ACTUAL (not projected) max for one rep.

How'd you stop using your back squatting, anyway? Are you doing powerlifting style squats or Olympic squats?

People at my gym are far less bothered by my lack of social skills than everyone else is. After I beefed up a decent amount of muscle, everyone is really nice to me, really helpful if I need something (eg. a good spotter at the bench), and I'm always willing to help them if they need anything.

You should have just said thank you, but sometimes when I am working out hard I am in aggression mode so I can understand, sort of. I agree with 1000knives, you could be doing too many reps, and if you have bad form you are begging for injuries. Do you warm up and/or stretch before working out, and stretch after? Use your legs and ass most when you are squatting, don't lift with your knees. Maybe you should do more research on proper lifting form and some routines before you risk hurting yourself more.

not to start a war here but i disagree about doing too many reps. i alternate between high rep and low rep cycles and actually have found best results doing high reps. do what is working for you and f**k everyone else. I dont mean this offensively as getting opinions on things is awesome, but in the end make informed decisions.
I am currently on a low rep cycle of 3 reps for bench..but after i max out im going back to high reps.
