So Bengals and Texas are playing this weekend. Say Bengals win. Does that mean they would play against the Broncos on Jan 12?

Vikings and Packers are also playing this Sat. I think Packers will win so that means that Packers will have to play 49ers Jan 12?

I hope the Redskins beat Seattle this weekend. But that means they have to play Falcons?

Can someone help? :?

You have the post season playoff picture right. Odds are, however, that Seattle will roll over the Skins and become eligible to face the Falcons in the divisional round.

ESPN Playoff Schedule Link

The NFL playoffs are based on seedings. The 4 division winners get seeds 1-4 (based on the records of those four teams), while the two other teams (which may have a better record than the winners) get 5 and 6. The next round is determined by the seeds that win this weekend's games.

For example, Atlanta is the number 1 seed in the NFC. This means for the next round they will play the lowest seed that won this weekend. Green Bay won, and since Seattle and Washington are seeded lower than Green Bay, Atlanta will play either Seattle or Washington. If the Vikings won, they would play Atlanta because they are the absolute lowest seed in the NFC bracket.
