Just like with the big-name power hitters in baseball, the ones whom are constantly at the top of the list for slugging percentage and home runs, they also tend to lead baseball in strikeouts - if one throws a LOT of passes in the NFL, it stands to reason that a large number of them will be intercepted. Blanda also happens to be one of the best QB's in NFL history, so leading the list of most interceptions thrown in NFL history is not, IMHO, a badge of dishonor. It just means that the QB has seen a lot of action (and a QB has got to be good to play long enough to lead that list) and has thrown a lot of passes. Favre recently broke the NFL record for career pass completions, too.
