New is good... Both places are definitely far more superior and much more usable... as sport venues! Just more expensive. :(

You are right that Safeco and Qwest field are better looking stadiums, but it is all about nostalgic memories for the Kingdome for me.

As I mentioned on my blog, The Dome may look a big piece of concreate s**t, but inside of the place has alot of great memories. Which is why I picked the Dome (barely) over the nice new stadiums.

Everybody has their own opinions I guess.

Good reply though and thank you for reading my blog :-)

Yep If people can also have fond memories of a concrete rubble, I guess it is really immoral to demolish my beloved Tiger Stadium, the longtime home for the Detroit Tigers... Sigh. Should have converted into a historic park or something like that...

A late in replying, but since Seattle is on the other side of the water from me I feel obliged to reply.

KINGDOME!

Aside from the fact that the people of Seattle got screwed in the deal to build Safeco and Quest, the Kingdome has been part of the Seattle skyline for ages. So many memories. I mean, what if they replaced the Space Needle?

Okay, I feel better now... :)

Must be the work of a few greedy sports teams owners who want more dough... to demolish a good stadium! Sigh.
