My favourite is squid and octopus - curried, sautéed, salt & pepper, stewed in Hoisin sauce, fried, etc. I'm not skinny. I'm not exactly fat, either but I am getting there.

You can't just look at meat, but the diet as a whole. This survey isn't going to be that informative.

I have heard some vegans can put on weight if they consume a lot of sugar.

I mostly eat dog. :?

 Hot dog. The main staples of my diet are Ramen Noodles, canned vegetables and hot dog frankfurters, because that's all I can afford.

But I also work out every day and drink myself to sleep at night, so my lifestyle is nothing to gauge anything by. :duh:

I don't eat flesh....

I'm not that muscular, but I've never been anyway...I exercise as often as possible...I hate rest days on my programs and stuff...I try to get in situps or something when I'm not lifting

The only meat I buy is chicken and seafood or bacon every month or so. I'm probably thicker than I need to be.

I mostly eat chicken and lowfat minced meat. I would like to have more fish though, but it is so expensive in this country.

Sugar and most flour, fall into the category of what I call white death. Refined Sugar most specifically. It causes inflammation in the body, and sticks to cell walls, thus acting as the foundation for plaque to build up in the arteries. Multiple, independent studies at different medical schools and institutions have clearly shown a low carb, high fat and protein diet is over all the healthiest one for both weight loss and maintaining weight after weight loss has occurred.

The healthiest diet of those studied? In an ironic twist, the Atkins Diet is the healthiest, with a Mediterranean diet following in close second. I find it most amusing after all the "negative" press that sprang up a while back over the Atkins diet, that it should be the healthiest.

I clicked on chicken. I do occasionally eat read meat, but to be honest I'm not really keen on it.

Fish is nice, but I only eat that occasionally too.

I ate a lot of fast food in college, but rarely have any burgers anymore,a nd no fast food except if you count Subway. I've always liked chicken and turkey.

I've also lost 20 pounds since college and am back to my ideal weight :D (well, at the top of the range, 160 or so) in my middle 40s.

I'd have probably lost that weight faster were it not for the fact I love pasta. :) But I'm at around 160 and that's what counts.
