Who here goes to the gym regularly?
Personally, I do, like twice a week for 3 years now.
I find that since I work out, I hardly catch a cold now. If I feel cold, I go to the gym, spent 2 hours sweating and I don't get ill. It also makes one feel slightly serene afterwards.
I don't do much exercise for the arm muscles, just the necessary. But I like running, cycling and all which includes leg muscles.
I find that the gym is a good alternative to team sports or jogging outside, because on the treadmill you can stare blankly ahead without having to avoid obstacles like dogs or so  Only thing, during the breaks I tend to stare blankly a lot, I suppose it looks funny, so sometimes I close my eyes then.

I do. Fitness is a passion of mine.

Me either, but for me it's not a passion. It's the only thing that's keeping me alive. Otherwise, I'm not able to cope an individual life among NTs and even worse, my work performance is going straight down. I'm even loosing my motivation to work, because I feel exhausted all the time. This sucks, my life has no sense without work.

I am going to gym almost daily and I visit at least the cardio machines (running, cycling etc.) and the swimming pool. I cannot say I enjoy my workout, but I really like the magnificent feeling afterwards. I definitely enjoy gym much more than jogging or team sports. It's simply something I cannot live without.

Me too. I actually find one of the hardest things is making time for the gym. But when I do, things go a lot better. I also try to make daily life as active as possible, every bit helps.

A few weeks ago, I got back into the gym after nearly a year away, having gone regularly for the past 5 or 6 years. At times I get in there and after 10 minutes just want to leave (I force myself not to), usually because it's busy and noisy.

Today it wasn't so busy and I did a good hour of cardio and some weights, and I actually felt good after it, which I don't get very often. I'm hoping if I can stick with it for a few weeks I'll start to notice improvements and that'll motivate me to keep it up.

I also try to get about an hour's walk every day - park a bit away from the office, which all helps.

I'm too intimidated. Plus I heard that many gyms have a no grunt policy, a restriction I would have great difficulty abiding by.

I used to go to the gym, but to be honest, I got sick of the whole scene.

I got a recumbent bike yesterday. A gently used floor model of a reputable brand that was several hundred dollars cheaper than usual. I've also been playing Wii boxing and DDR. When my weight is a little lower, I am interested in getting into Powerbocking. My SO bough a pair of Powerbockers and they look so fun. My childhood dream of bouncing like Tiger has come true!

I prefer this over the gym environment. Just working out on my own. I enjoy working out, and I love the mental and physical uplift it brings.

I can just about get by with the equipment at home. Musics probably better too :D

Theres a few machines id like to use, but itd mostly just be the last 10mins of each session - so not really worth it.
