The night before a big event I just find it so hard to get to sleep. My heart starts racing and I keep dreading over not getting to sleep.

Last night I got 5 hours sleep but according to my bro most people get at least 6 and a half hours a night.

I did not sleep much because i am so excited about New Year's Eve.

Any advice?

I can't seem to stay asleep longer than 5. Everyone has a different sleeping amount that's right for them. I don't feel tired or exhausted all day when I get my five. Maybe it's what is right for you? I say take some melatonin and try to relax it helps me sleep when I'm anxious or having trouble and it's not addictive or even able to really be overdosed on. I wake up rested just like if I hadn't taken anything.

Here ya go: slumberwise <---that's a link. Start experimenting. You'll find an approach that works eventually. Just stop looking at screens after 9 (even between sleeps).
