I know for me its the puberty emotional/mental changes+Aspergers that's making me feel like depressive sh!t... eventually in a couple months I will probably be past most of the tenthgrade "adulthood" milestones and I'll probably be fine then...but I'll still have troubles proportionate to my age...I need to fix this...I wonder if any you would care to report results for this diet...And/or I will add Modafinil and/or Cognizin and/or steroids when I have the $$$...ain't got that right now tho so will have to rely on abstaining from gluten/casein

I have done the gluten-free diet before. Once did it for a whole year to help with my digestive issues and fatigue. It helped improve those two areas and even cleared up my skin. But, could not say that it would work for everyone. Have yet to do the the casein free diet. It's worth a try IMHO, but really am not sure if abstaining from certain foods necessarily prevents most or all symptoms in Aspies...or if it just generally improves one's overall health due to typically eating more fresh fruits and vegetables while on this restrictive diet. Either way if a person feels better overall...my thoughts are....go for it. Can't do much (if any) harm and can definitely make a person feel more healthy.

I've been tweaking my diet for years now and it makes a big difference in my energy level, but as a whole I've found supplements to be much more effective in terms of AS symptom reduction. Going gluten-free is good for you and I felt some positive effects, but the lifestyle change of avoiding bread for a sandwich guy like me was just to much :).
Try Nature Made Super B-complex and maybe MRM Smart Blend. I feel fantastic on these (among others) and they also help support other bodily functions; in addition they both cost about as much as 1 loaf of gluten-free bread :) plus the only lifestyle change is remembering to take them in the morning.

P.S I would avoid steroids and other hormone modifiers for another year or so until your well clear of puberty simply put something could go wrong that can't be put back right

Does Modafinil count? cuz I'm really looking into it.
