I need some inspiration to get on the exercize bike in the house. While, I do work hard at my jobs, I would like more exercize. I have been feeling sick though, so I haven't exercized, and it is making me more depressed. (I NEED to lose some more weight, as well).
I, however, want to start off with small increments, and while I used to be able to exercize for almost an hour daily on that bike, I don't want exercize to take over my life. Originally I went from overweight to underweight, and during this time I only had 1 job, and wasn't in College as much, as I am now. I realize that I'm the all or nothing type, so I don't want to break myself, exercizing. Since picking up job 2, and going to school more often, I thought that those 2 things would be enough exercize+I've been sick, almost constantly ever since, so I havent been able to move around as much, at work.
Anyways, help please, esp. with the whole all or nothing thinking revolving exercizing....

don't forget your diet, first of all. exercise won't help you much without a proper diet for your type [basically no refined carbs]. then make the exercise the first thing you do in the day, or the first thing you do upon coming home from work, that way you won't have to dread it for the rest of your day. just make it something you do before your morning shower or evening shower, like a habit. and another thing to remember, is that intensity counts a LOT more than duration. so incorporate interval training [90% of capacity] into your biking routine, IOW pedal full tilt for at least 30 second [working up to a minute] punctuated by maybe 3 minutes of cool-down, repeat starting with 5 and working up to 10 times. then get off the bike and do leg stretches [shins and quads] or else your legs will feel stiff. and before you even get on the bike, you might want to start doing pushups [long and slow] starting with one correct-form military pushup, working up to 10 then 20. that and chin-ups will strengthen your upper core. alternate walking with biking, but still using the interval technique incorporating sprints with your walking. you should be walking at a pace reminiscent of being late for an appointment. this is what I do, and so far I have kept the weight off. I wish you the best of luck :)

As far as the 'all or nothing' attitude goes, you could block out a certain amount of time per day and dedicate it to exercise. For example, from, say, three to three thirty is devoted to exercise. No more, no less. That way, you get your time in without doing too much, as long as you keep to the schedule.

Got some exercize by walking to the bus stop, I don't know exactly how long I walked though.
