hot/cold flashes, lightheadedness/dizzyness & waking up early having to pee. I've been having some of this periodically for along time & been gradually getting worse. I tried discussing it with my doc 1ce(not recently) & she said I'm not diabetic(blood test showed that) & thought it was because I was adjusting to cutting back on sugar. I like an idea what I'm dealing with incase there's things I can do or to better explain if I talk to my doc about it again.

i don't know of anything that includes all three. let's just take the most serious: dizziness/ lightheadedness. this is most likely a circulatory problem. could be anything from dehydration to anemia to a med side effect to a heart rhythm problem. if blood tests and a holter monitor are negative, rejoice. in a famous study, the folks who had dizziness that couldn't be diagnosed did better than the ones who had heart or ear problems. the reason i didn't suggest ear problems before is that they usually manifest as the room spinning sort of dizziness, while circulatory problems manifest as lightheadedness.

sound like what my mom goes through a lot at random times of the year. She's hypoglycemic. Its like diabetes but not permanent in terms of blood sugar/insulin issues.. there are just days her blood sugar simply drops..but when she gets tested it all comes in perfectly ok (even in those glucose tests where they have her sipping syrup and sticking needles into her every X hours to test her sugar levels).

I do drink plenty of water(I think meds may be making me thirstier) so I guess that could explain peeing more. I've had these problems periodically for a long time & sense they've gradually been getting worse, I cant pinpoint em to any specif meds. Meds could be a factor but I'm not ready to try screwing with changing em to find out. I had problems with my blood pressure dropping before & my doc didn't think it was related to my heart; that was a different doc years ago. If I focus I can be kind of aware of what my heart's doing; I feel changes with it when I'm anxious/nervous & being physically active & things but I haven't noticed anything different when I have those symptoms. I know blood pressure dropping can cause lightheadedness & dizziness but I don't know if it can cause the hot & cold flashes too. I sometimes have those things together but other times I don't. I notice lightheadedness & dizziness sometimes when I change positions suddenly & it's sometimes real bad if I wake up after only a couple hours to use the bathroom. I get really cold when I go to bed but warm up after a while. I've always been sensitive to temperatures but I think it's gotten worse than it used to be. I don't know much about hypoglycemia but I'll read up on it some.

blood pressure dropping when you stand up is called orthostatic hypotension. you probably already are getting up slowly, sitting on the side of the bed for a minute or two before rising when getting up from sleeping.
