The times I wake up in the morning are just haywire. Some days I'm up at around 10 am, other days I sleep past noon. How late I go to bed and if I nap during the day or not don't seem to make much difference. Yesterday I was up before 11 am, but today I slept in until after 2pm! I woke up at around noon but still felt very tired and out of it, so I just went back to bed. I'm a real night owl but I feel really bad and guilty when I sleep past noon, plus if I have something important to do in the afternoon I end up having less time to do it or can't at all. Today I was supposed to go get my groceries but now I have to wait until tomorrow to get them. When I sleep in late like this I have very frustrating dreams. A few days ago I had my usual dream that I'm getting ready for a Halloween party or even trick-or-treating but I either can't decide on a costume or when I try to put it on it's like I have lost all knowledge on dressing myself, like being able to put the right legs down the right sides of pants and such. In the dream my mother actually went trick-or-treating and came back all excited because she has a bag full of candy, and she didn't even wear a costume! Yesterday II told my social worker all about this and she said such dreams may be the result of my being so frustrated in real life. I asked how I could stop having them and she said talking about them might help. Well if anything talking about them seemed to make things worse because after I fell back asleep I had a dream that I had moved into a much smaller apartment downtown, with no real knowledge about how and why I left my much bigger apartment, and all these strange people kept coming in and invading my privacy and acting like jerks who owned the place. A bunch of them even forced me to go on a car ride with them and they kept saying nasty things to me and I didn't know where we were going or if they were going to do something awful to me. When I finally woke up I was really feeling out of it. If these dreams and my messed up sleeping patterns are the result of my real frustrations in real life how can I make them stop since there are no real easy solutions to them?
My sleep seemed to start getting like this after daylight savings time in the spring, but you'd think I'd be adjusted by now, as well.

The other night, I dreamed that I was lying in bed paralyzed while my dead aunt and a strange man were talking to me inside my head and I couldn't move or stop myself or breathe and then all this soccer stuff from my dead grandfather's coffin appeared in my room and it just kept floating around.

One time, I had a dream that I was laying in bed and demented Elmo was riding a Santa sleigh in my living room and little elves were riding jeeps and then a Santa shaped hamburger tried to sexually assault me.

Usually, this is because of my meds.
