Reference ranges for ALT (alanine aminotransferase) are either 10-40 U/L for men or 7-35 U/L for women, per WebMD. Now I know there can be some variation with labs, but for my labs the reference range has been put down as 20-65 U/L, which is confusing. I just got a test that was a little high (68 U/L), but it seems much higher than the normal ranges.
