I actually have been concerned about that for a while, but have been procrastinating going to a dentist...I am on medicaid now so I can go for a very low co-pay. But I guess as a rule it tends to be painful getting teeth cleaned, aggravates sensory issues so not something I get to enthusiastic to do. But then I am also afraid of going and having them tell me its so bad I'm going to start losing teeth or something.

Does anyone know of natural or home remedies to help gum health? Or is it probably my best bet to just go to the damn dentist if I am concerned about my teeth/gums? But yeah I know I should do something because gums should not bleed every time I brush my teeth.

what helped me was using colgate total toothpaste twice a day and the generic for crest pro-health mouthwash afterward. you should probably see a dentist anyway. my dentist taught me how to angle my toothbrush to target gums.

flouride toothpaste makes me nauseous, so I usually use natural kinds since they have types without flouride not to mention I am little uncomfortable with the fact sodium lauryl sulfate the main ingredient in many shampoos is a predominant ingredient seems a bit strange, but perhaps they'd have suggestions, so I should probably just schedule an appointment and see how it goes. I also know It wouldn't hurt to floss more. But if at all possible I'd hope there are natural products that can help.

use good ol' ghastly tasting Listerine, it is time tested and proven. they make flavored versions that aren't as beastly. floss after brushing, NOT before. rinse with mouthwash BEFORE brushing [loosens plaque and tartar] AND after as well, then rinse with lukewarm water by swishing the water between the teeth with mouth closed. do the same with the mouthwash whenever you use it. avoid brushing closer than 30 minutes to any meal, as acids in the beverages or meals temporarily soften the teeth and make them more susceptible to brushing damage. most important thing is to brush and rinse before retiring for the evening.
when you go to the dentist, you can ask about wearing headphones as well as inhaling nitrous, it works, I can vouch for that.

Rinsing the mouth with warm salt water and baking soda helps tighten the gums.Toothpastes made with chlorophyll are suppose to be helpful. Some swear by a water pic.

Oil pulling with organic virgin coconut oil is the most natural and highly effective.

I've used ascendedhealth products: http://www.ascendedhealth.com/products_ ... m#Products

A friend of mine raves about the results she gets with them. Expensive, but I feel amazing when using them. If I could afford it, I'd use their Phytovelvet constantly.

I've been making my own tooth paste from green clay (http://www.frenchclayforall.com/info.html), essential oils, and silver water, but haven't been to the dentist so can't report any definitive results.

Going to the dentist and getting your teeth cleaned isn't so bad, if you haven't been to one in a long time you probably have quite a build up of plaque and I dunno how you get rid of that otherwise. I always preferred the dentist to the doctor since it just seemed less personal, you're not exactly expected to small talk when someone has their hands in your mouth. Once they do a cleaning it'll be way easier to maintain what you have than reversing it on your own. I use baking soda toothpaste, original flavor Listerine, and floss picks after every meal which I find a lot easier than just plain floss. I try to take good care of my teeth to compensate for messed up and crowded they are, impacted molars and wisdom teeth ugh. There is a basketball player named Anthony Davis(who also has a legit unibrow) that had worse teeth than me tho which made me feel better about myself, he got them fixed when he got to the NBA tho...
