Last night I watched ESPN'S. 30 for 30 "Of miracles and men" It was the 1980 USA vs USSR game from the russians perspective after they lost. One of the players from the Russian team visited the same arena that the game was played, 34 years later including commentary from the players from the Russian side and the original radio broadcast from the soviet side. Did anybody watch this? If you did, what did you think about it? Do you know or remember the 1980 USA vs USSR hockey game? I thought it was interesting to see the other side of the losing team, and how they felt.

I know. Sorry about that. It was up for a little while.

I don't know if I can find any full videos of Miracles and Men but here is a review of how it went down.

It's fine, I just wanted a review of it anyway. From what I read It sounds pretty interesting to hear the side from the Soviets' perspective.

It was. Some of the players they interviewed were pretty upset by the event while others were able to make something out of it. One of the players left Russia to play in the United States in the NHL and won a Stanley Cup later down the road. Listening to the original Soviet broadcast was pretty cool too.

Today is 35th anniversary of that legendary game. Several Soviet players of that team joined the NHL years later.

The Soviet players were so upset at their loss in 1980 that they did not turn in their silver medals to get their names inscribed on them, as is custom. In the locker room, 4 players were told by Soviet Head Coach Viktor Tikhonov: "This is your loss!"

Yezzirrr! I know this.

It's amazing it's been that long and it still sends chills down people's spines.
