Why is shouting so central?

It is my number one point of annoyance... whenever sports is on, it's one thing to present a bunch of random numbers with no relevance except those who actually watched whichever matches (if they did why would they want to hear some numbers somewhere?) - but somehow, the majority of the time sports is introduced, it's introduced with something like "OH MY GOD, HE MADE IT! HE MADE IT!" - or such like. It's so annoying, as not only do I have no interest in whatever they're presenting, they're shouting it out too. At least ads generally haven't begun shouting.

So... sports, please stop shouting?

i like seeing my colleagues do well, though yeah i don't get that vocal and verbal about it.

encouragement? i know i like it whenever i get cheered on the last leg of my 400m dash.
