I was trying to find one on eBay but somehow 90% of them or so are 'local pickup', despite saying they're 'free'... so annoying (the site has no adequate filtering), as it's so difficult to transport such a heavy thing in itself, but I've no transport... tried looking at shops like Argos which usually deliver but somehow every single one of their treadmills looks like it's made for children, and it'd be inconvenient to not seemingly be able to take two steps on one...

Maybe you can find some advertized in your local newspaper and the person selling it may be able to deliver it if they have a van or something?

Our local papers, some of which are delivered free of charge once a week, often have such equipment advertized.

Alas when it comes to training equipment, unless you go for gym quality I wouldn't bother. If you don't have a grand or so to spend on a treadmill then what you'll get won't be good. Not just in terms of build quality but the way it operates. Cheap treadmills\bikes tend to use horrible friction devices to force the effort. On a treadmill you'll also want one that is sprung, which again you won't get from something cheap.
