TWO games into a new season, Alex O'Connell and his teammates are battling away against competitive opponents just like any other senior men's team in the Manly-Warringah Football Association.

Alex and most of the players in his Mosman FC side have grown up with Asperger's Syndrome - a neurobiological condition primarily affecting social skills and considered a mild variant of autism.

But for Alex that is less important than making friends and plotting the team's first win....
