Anyone do this? I just started, and I am addicted. I think a person with AS who is into martial arts could be good at it too, the way we think differently could help you see different options and positions than an NT person. I think being obsessive helps you to think through the techniques as well.

Hi,

I'm about to start martial arts. I'm going to a taster class first to try some different things so that I can decide which martial art is best for me to learn.

I'm really looking forward to it.

I've wanted to do this for a while now, but it took me a while to find a centre in my area that wasn't full of bullies who just wanted to learn martial arts to hurt and threaten people!

The place I've found now is run by really nice people and there is another autistic person who attends classes there too. So I'm really looking forward to starting!!

i actually wanted to attend aluta livre class suring the term breaks but became ill for most of them. :( sucks, as i would have liked to take a peek at pure grappling.
so, i have to do with the grappling exercises we do at muay thai, which is not full-fledged, of course, but more than one would imagine.
