The diet that uses mono tasking.
Any other mindful eaters out there? I've been doing this for just over a week. I don't do the chew it a million times bit because I don't want my food getting cold but everything I eat now gets my full attention (no tv, book, youtube while eating). I haven't changed my diet which was good (not brilliant) with a few treats and no calorie counting. I have lost 2lb which I am happy about, since it wasn't difficult to do, cost no money, and took no real effort, after all if I don't want something enough to give it my full attention, then I don't really want it and not having it is not depriving myself.

Weighed myself last Wednesday, down another 2lb. Considering I've been eating what I liked I'm impressed with this. I'm going to be more careful over what I buy from now on too. If anyone is struggling with cutting there snacking or their portion sizes, I think this would be really good way of getting into it.

When I'm doing really really well I sometimes practice mindful eating. Certainly this is a good idea, although I choose avoidance and binge eating quite often.

Mindful eating just doesn’t work for me. I don’t get those “I’m full” sensations. My body thinks I’m hungry when I’m not. I have to count calories. I’m down around 70 pounds so far and am working on the last 25.

I thought you meant you were down to 70 lb and wanted to loose 25 more, I was
You're lost 70lb well done that's really impressive, I lost 43lb a number of years ago, and put about 10lb back on in the last few years due to having tummy problems and trying different elimination diets to sort them out. All sorted now so time to improve my eating habits again.

That sounds like me and sugar. I am currently doing a one piece (square) of chocolate a day that I have in the evening thing. So far I have not binged or even bent the rules but it is very early days. I have never previously manged not to end up bingeing in the past though so I will see how this goes.
