I'm taking a med to lower my testosterone in order to decrease my body & facial hair growth, slow down male-pattern baldness, & reduce my sex drive(I actually like having a lower sex drive). I started Wellbutrin about 6 months ago for depression, ADD(nonhyperactive ADHD), low energy, & being overweight due to binge eating. I'm now on the max dose of the extended release which is 450mg when I wake up. Me & my girlfriend noticed that it helped my depression, helped give me a tad more energy, & is maybe helping my ADD. It's not helping the binge eating but that's more of an issue with lack of self control. Anyways... I've noticed my sex drive has increased since I've started it. I read that Wellbutrin is sometimes used to treat sexual dysfunction & I'm wondering how it does this. Does it work by increasing testosterone or does it work some other way :?: I've slightly increased the med I'm taking to lower my testosterone & my sex drive has gone down slightly but I'm wondering if there's another way I can counter/stop it from increasing my sex drive. Does anybody have a clue how it works for decreasing sexual dysfunction :?:
