Lately my heart rate has been a little high and I feel completely exausted with no energy all the time now. I wonder if it's because I'm loosing weight way too fast? I dropped from 250 pounds to about 202 pounds in the last several months. Also I might be feeling malnourished from all the foods I have cut out of my diet?

I think I really need to talk to my doctor about this because I'm worried. :(

Nothing we can do, you need to see a doctor. I am prescribed Bisoprolol which handles my rapid heart rate. Mine is caused by other meds I take though, not from diet.

I talked to my doctor and she said all my tests turned up normal but she said something about doing a thyroid test. Also she said it could just be stress and anxiety.

She knows her stuff. Leave it to her. Could indeed be a thyroid issue or simply anxiety and stress. That definitely causes increased heart rate. Can also elevate blood pressure slightly. Don't worry unduly.

I was going to suggest stress & anxiety before I read about the fast weight loss. I was thinking it was best to see a doc which is what you said you were gonna do anyways TW1ZTY so I decided there was no point in me posting then. I hope your thyroid test comes back OK. Stress & anxiety are bad but they're not as serious as some of the physical causes for high heart rate & feeling tired usually. I think I remember you mentioning your bipolar & I'd be surprised if it wouldn't cause stress & anxiety sometimes. Tweaking your meds might help. It may also help to add a beta-blocker like Inderal/Propranolol. They're used sometimes for anxiety & stress. They can lower blood pressure & heart rate. I'm on Inderal for a tremor disorder & those things have gotten lower since I started it.

What's your BMI tho? sure you dropped quite a few in weight but without your BMI there's no way to guesstimate how overweight you were relative to how you are now.

Anyhow why do you cut much foods from your diet? you only need to do sports, eat a bit less carbs (but not cut them completely unless you have a medical condition like severe diabetes in which case you need to consult a doctor) and cut almost completely sweets/candy and "useless" nutrition value food. And If you DO do a lot of sport, you definitely need to eat, not cut food.
