In boxing why aren’t 168 pound boxers allowed too fight 210 pound boxers. Yet a 210 pound boxer is allowed too fight an opponent who is 252 pounds.

Makes no sense?

168lbs boxers are allowed to fight 210lbs boxers.

Unlike the other divisions, the heavyweight division doesn't have a minimum lbs to qualify, but by it's nature It's full of huge guys who are too heavy for cruiserweight and there is little apeal for people who can fit into a lighter weight category as the difference between the fighters could be huge, and the style of fight could be quite different to what they are used to (height also a prob)
