Does anyone on here practice?

If you do practice, what’s your favorite type of practice, pose, or aspect of yoga?

There’s much more to yoga besides asanas, but in this thread, I’m primarily talking about the physical practice. I’d like to hear about your meditative experiences, too, if you want to share any.

A few months ago I started using a yoga app called Gaia. I love it. They offer many different teachers and styles of yoga. I don’t pay attention to the styles as much but choose my class based on how energetic I’m feeling. I’ve started doing the non-energetic, relaxing, breath focused classes before bed and I always sleep well those nights. I got very disconnected from my body after going through a terrible burnout and dealing with chronic pain for a few years and yoga is helping me get back in touch with my body and it’s an exercise I can do in my current state.

I’ve done a bunch of meditation classes and practice off and on but prefer the breath and movement togetherness of yoga and qi gong.

Are you going to classes or doing yoga at home? I’ve gone to classes previously but prefer to do it alone in my home.

I’m doing yoga at home. I’d like to try a class someday, but there aren’t any studios that are near enough for me to conveniently go to.

I’d probably be more comfortable practicing at home anyway.

I prefer a slow, meditative practice with long holds in positions I enjoy.

I probably wouldn’t be into as demanding a practice as Ashtanga.

I really like half pigeon, though. Hip openers feel really good. I like backbends, too.
