Sorry about the vague title, because I'm already feeling queasy typing all of this. The word I'm talking about starts with a G and ends with a G, anyway.

I've been suffering from the kind of hypersensitive reflexes that end up making me look like a fool in public when it happens. It also means I haven't gone to the dentist in 13 years because it's pure torture for me thinking about being in the chair, even.

I've tried tic tacs and salted biscuits whenever I feel an attack coming on. But after a while they're not that effective.

It wouldn't be a problem normally but god knows why, I've been having them a lot recently.

How do you guys cope with it?

Could you give some examples of what you mean by hypersensitive reflexes. I'm wondering if your talking about Aspie sensory issues.

Are you talking about what others might consider an over the top reaction to sudden unexpected stimuli?

I can think what the work is that your referring to that begins and ends with G.

Yep, that's the one, thanks.

Where I live, biscuit and confectionery manufacturers will have to shut down. And yeah, they don't do a lot to help these days, but I do rely on them to suppress the reflex a little. I'm screwed.

Sorry I had to make you guess, the reflex I'm talking about starts with a G and ends with a G.
