Today I got up at 10:30 but had a nap in the afternoon from 2:30-4pm I think.

How can I make sure I feel tired for bedtime tonight despite me sleeping during the day on the weekends I go to bed at 2 in the morning on the weekends only.

Get some exercise early in the day, then, a short time before bed have a small warm drink, and for a little while before lights-out read a boring book. Also play some soft, gentle music just before going to sleep. You can even get a sound machine to play sleep-inducing static noises.

^ All of what questor suggested, plus you can try buying some melatonin and taking that 30 minutes before you try to sleep. I wouldn't rely on it, but it's good to use for a few days to readjust your sleep schedule. You could also try to take a warm shower at night, that helps some people wind down.

Embrace the circadian clock. During a 24-hour period, we typically have two up times and two down periods. And of course these can slowly migrate.

And it can either be symmetrical or not. For example, someone might have down energy periods around 2 pm and 3 am. (and you can go to sleep Way before your nighttime down period, but that’s when it’s very hard to drive safely)
