Hello,

Does anyone else here get big, day-lasting headaches? How do you deal with them?

Mine now are dull pains at the back of the head near the pons and medulla, accompanied by weakness, and the need to sleep or lie down.
My most recent headache lasted from about 9 am (morning) to 2 am (the next day). After it ended there was also a painful swelling at the place it hurt, but now that the headache is gone, the swelling went away as well.
Often I find that cold weather can trigger them, as well as walking for too long, taking a long train/bus/car ride or periods.
I really don't know how to study, because my university is 2 hours away by train, and it's cold now :(

Dyes in tea are a well known cause of migranes.

Sorry you're dealing with that.
I have frequent migraines which affect my vision and make me throw up.
The most recent one lasted 8 days straight.

In the past I went to a migraine clinic at the hospital, where they do research.
They gave me prescription medication but it doesn't always work.

It's important to identify your triggers if you can.
My worst ones are smells, scents and fragrance, sunlight, and allergies.
The 8 day migraine was because of the smell of bacon and eggs being cooked.

If you get a sudden headache which is your worst one ever, go to hospital.
