So,
Does anyone else have this issue as well. I always have to be chewing on something so I mainly stick to food because thats the safest choice other than biting the the threads off my shirts off. So, 90% of my food is snack food such as chips, starbursts, chex mix, popsicles, etc. And it's not so much because I like the sweets its because they're the most chewiest and i have to have chewy food because if im constantly not eating that type of food and am not chewing on something i'll think about something to chew on and I can't get it out of my head and I'll think about it for hours. Any ideas on whats causing this or why I have this urge/need to always chew? By the way I was diagnosed with autism in 2020 so its in official writing that i'm autistic.

Sounds like a stim. If you'd rather chew something that isn't food or your clothes, you can buy chewable jewelry designed specifically for autistic people.
